- Funeral directors fees
- Doctors certificates
- Transfer of the deceased
- Embalmment if required
- Coffins or caskets

Do I have to have a funeral?
Having a funeral is not necessary at all. We can transfer your loved one to the final resting place without a service but we recommend a service, to give the opportunity to say a final goodbye.
What do I do first, when a loved one dies?
Firstly, if the death has not occurred in a healthcare facility but at home call an ambulance or doctor immediately. They will then issue a Life Extinct form. At this point you can contact us and we will arrange to take the body into our custody and organise a Death Certificate on your behalf.
If the doctor is unable to determine the cause of death or the death has occurred in certain circumstances (for example, an unexpected heart attack) then the matter will be referred to the coroner who will have to perform an autopsy. The coroner will then be responsible for issuing the Death Certificate.
We can also assist when a loved one passes away interstate or overseas.
What happens to the body when you collect it?
We will take your loved one’s remains to our hygienic and state of the art mortuary where our highly trained staff will care for and prepare your loved one for their final journey.
Which is better: cremation, burial or entombment?
All have their benefits, however, as a general guide cremation is cheaper but it depends on your needs, culture and beliefs. Our staff are happy to help you and provide you with all the information you need to make the decision that is right for you.
Can I have or do I have to have a viewing?
Viewings are entirely optional. If you do require a viewing we will prepare your loved one appropriately. This includes dressing, cleaning and makeup where necessary; the utmost care will be taken.
Do I have to have it at your Chapel?
No, we are happy to organise your celebration of life in any venue, church or location you wish. Our role is to ensure your celebration is as individual as you are.
Chapel Funerals can also coordinate outdoor services or service at unconventional locations. We will do our absolute best to make your celebration of life is exactly as you wish.
